Fork-tailed Flycatcher (!), Thunder Bay, Ontario, 10/24/04. The bird
had been frequenting a dairy barn for a few weeks (thus the flash photo),
sitting on wires and pipes above the cows. After feeding it would fly
back out the barn's open doors, but despite the efforts of many birders
we couldn't find it outside. Unfortunately, the spectacular tail is obscured
by the pipe in this photo. |
