Adult alternate Glossy Ibis, Hutton Lakes, Wyoming, 7/05. Doug Faulkner
observed two Glossies feeding nestlings at separate parts of the marsh,
one paired with a White-faced and the other pairing unknown. This represents
the first time nesting Glossies have been found in a non-Gulf-Coast state
west of the Mississippi. |

Possible juvenile Glossy Ibis, Prewitt Reservoir, Washington County,
Colorado, 8/04. Note the dark iris, gray facial skin, and thin pale lines
on upper and lower facial skin borders, all which point to Glossy Ibis
genes. I'm not sure if a hybrid Glossy x White-faced Ibis can be ruled
out, though. |

Another shot of the juvenile Glossy Ibis (or hybrid). The blue tinge
